Build-All Lumber Co. was originally founded in August of 1984 by Jim Gallaway, with the help of his wife Diana, son Scott and occasionally brother, Donald.
The company's meager beginnings grew from the business Jim generated from his then existing sawmill. Jim had built a reputation for quality materials with the log homes and miscellaneous lumber he produced. With his reputation, a small delivery truck, a skidder (later sold to purchase a fork lift) and a pole building, they were on their way.
The first sales counter was constructed from two garbage cans and a piece of plywood. Jim and Scott shared the duties of yard deliveries, sales, purchasing, and estimating, while Diana was responsible for the accounting of the business operation and customer billing.
Brother Donald returned to help the threesome build a 660 sq. ft. store with office and a 900 sq. ft. warehouse. The Crosslake area was growing and business growth was good.
In 1988 the business was incorporated and grew from a small family operation to a team operation.
Today, over thirty years later, Build-All Lumber Co. continues to be family owned and operated. Son Matt came aboard in 2000 with the addition of our Installed Insulation Division.
The dedication of our team continues to maintain our integrity and reputation for providing the highest quality products and service, to ensure that our standards are met and your expectations are exceeded.
